We are looking at the stories of The Gingerbread Man and Each Peach Pear Plum in English this half term. We are exploring the smell of ginger dough and decorating gingerbread men.
In our Maths sessions we will be singing number songs and building and stacking shapes. We are counting and using positional language in some of our PE sessions including throwing bean bags through hoops. We have created some art work in PE as we rolled paint-covered balls along paper. Other opportunities for art will occur as we explore the different leaves in our forest area. It will be fun to see them changing colour and using them to paint with.
As we focus on Harvest in RE we are tasting and smelling different herbs. Painting with sprigs of rosemary has created a nice smell in the classroom.
Our home corner has been put to good use as we think about our families and the differences between the age groups in History. In Geography we are looking at people who help us in different places.
Our Attention Autism sessions and Speech and Language give us lovely opportunities to focus and work as a whole class as well as providing opportunities for laughter and excitement.
