Jenni’s Class

In Year 10 things have been very busy, we have been exploring Careers, with some of us visiting Middlesbrough College for an activity session based on online gaming, using Lego bricks to build a simulation of a house that they may see on a gaming platform.

Some of us also had the opportunity to go to Hartlepool Power Station where we toured around the Power station and saw the huge and complex ways in which electricity is made and then used to sell on to power our homes and schools.

We have also been enjoying our on-site work experience, showcasing how fantastic hard we are working in different areas to support our Academy.

we have also has some chicks born in Discovery which our pupils have been enjoying watching and seeing them go from egg to Chick or Duckling.

London 2026

This week secondary pupils visited London and was a fantastic experience for both pupils and staff. We visited the Science Museum, where pupils enjoyed exploring and learning through hands-on activities. We also went to the Savoy Theatre to watch Paddington, which was a fun and memorable show for everyone. Alongside this, pupils had the chance to see some of London’s famous sights and enjoyed a relaxing river cruise along the River Thames.

Another highlight of the trip was visiting the Tower of London and performing in front of a large audience at the Royal Albert Hall, which was a very special moment for everyone involved. Throughout the visit, pupils showed respect, worked well together, and demonstrated independence and resilience. They made us all very proud. Staff from other academies in the Trust also commented on how polite, friendly, and well-behaved our pupils were at all times, which was wonderful to hear.

Below are a few pictures but see the website galleries for more.
