Jenni’s Class

This week we have been celebrating as we all got JOBS!!

Our year 9 pupils have been working hard on understanding the process of job applications.

Pupils were given a choice of 8 different job roles to apply for, we chose 2 or 3 jobs which we were interested in. We had to look at the job specifications, and make sure our applications responded to the role.

We did mock interviews before we actually had our formal interviews for the jobs.

We dressed in our smartest outfits, the boys wore ties and shirts, and the girls took pride in their appearance. We were then interviewed by Andy (Head of the Secondary provision) and Jen Duncan (Executive Head of the whole academy).

All staff are so very proud of the effort the pupils have put into their applications and interviews. All pupils were rewarded with responses to their interviews on Monday, and ALL pupils got jobs.

Well done everyone, we think you will do amazing at all the jobs, and we can’t wait to see how this inspires you and supports you to develop your skills ready for applying for jobs outside of school.
