Discovery Blog 23.05.2025

Katherine’s class have been learning all about small world gardens in DT. We have explored different small world gardens and decided which one was our favourite. Ours was definitely the fairy garden! We then worked in small groups to plan our design and then create our own using materials and toys we found around our classroom, school and outside to use in our own trays. All children worked collaboratively to create their garden and there were some fantastic designs! One group decided to create a beach scene using real sand and a circle for the sun and another created a theme park using blocks to create a sun bed. It was fantastic to see all of the children’s imagination. They were all very proud of their designs.
