Kirsty’s class

Kirsty class took part in an educational visit to Ropner Park. The visit linked to our Geography focus of buildings and their importance, Science and physical development.

The children used a map and followed signs to navigate their way around the park. We saw a metal fish statue, an old cottage, a fountain and a band stand. The children then explored the meadow, where we went on a flower hunt. The children enjoyed looking for different flowers and recognise familiar flowers such as daisies and buttercups.

We walked around the lake where we saw lots of baby ducklings with their mother, we also saw geese, they were very noisy.

We enjoyed having our lunch outside on the picnic benches before visiting the park. In the park we played on the roundabout, swings, explored climbing and going down the big slide.
