Look what Lara’s class have been doing this week.

Literacy

In literacy this term we have been reading the book ‘Lost and Found’. The children have enjoyed sequencing the story and retelling it using our text map and Makaton signs. They have completed some great writing from the story and will further be creating their own narrative writing pieces.

Random Acts of Kindness Day

To celebrate random Acts of Kindness day we have spoken and thought about what kindness is and why it is important to be kind. We have tried to seize many different opportunities to show kindness towards the adults and children in school. We shared our favourite activities with our friends, taking turns.

Curriculum

In Science we have been learning about fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals. We have compared their structure and focused on important features and facts to help identify, name and classify them. We have learnt that we as humans are also classed as mammals due to our distinct features.
